I have to say that after living here for almost 20 years, I am amazed at all the events/activities that are here for residents and tourists alike. If you visit the Hilton Head Chamber website, you can see all the special events from Wine Fest to activities for Labor Day weekend on their website. We also have a wonderful interactive children's museum by the name of "The Sandbox, www.thesandbox.org, where they have pottery classes every Monday morning at 9:30am for the next month where you can make a plate with your child's hand print or foot print. They also have great Family Fun Nights with lots of different activites to help your children work on their creativity. There is the Island Playground across from Moss Creek, and this is a great playground in doors to get away from the heat, cold, or rain. Click here to see all the great classes for babies/toddlers throughout the year, and even a great boot camp for Moms where they can have their children play while they work out. Another great find is The Coastal Discovery Museum . They have a wonderful enclosed Butterfly exhibit through September, great talks on "Getting to know a Gator" where your children see and touch a live gator, evening turtle walks, and dolphin/nature cruises.
